The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), warmly invites you to the 17th AUAP General Conference 2024, taking place over 18-20 November 2024 at Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, India on theme The Paradigm Shift in Higher Education: Values for Life”.  This transformative event will delve deep into the evolving landscape of higher education and explore the crucial role of values in shaping the future of learning and personal development through higher education development.

AUAP General Conference provides delegates with opportunities to connect, share best practices, and gain insights into innovative ways in which Asia-Pacific universities are partnering across the region and the world. The AUAP General Conference 2024 program focuses on the impact of such collaborations on the sustainability of international education. 

About Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP)

The AUAP is a Non – Government Organization (NGO) holding the highest formal consultation rights with UNESCO. Its primary purpose is to be the main platform for interaction and collaboration among members and the voice of universities and colleges in Asia and the Pacific. AUAP organizes regular conferences and workshops for higher education leaders and institutions, to recognize and discuss important issues and challenges facing higher education today. It is an organization that enhances cooperation among institutions, and is dedicated to render service to its members.

The main missions of the AUAP are to promote a culture of quality and innovation in higher education, research and service to the community; to preserve and enhance the values and cultural diversity of Asia and the pacific towards better understanding and cooperation for socio- economic development and universal peace; and to maintain a platform for interaction and collaboration among members and be the voice of universities in Asia and the Pacific.

The AUAP organizes varied activities for the staff and students alike. We hold faculty development seminars and workshops, joint research activities, and faculty exchange programs. For the students we organize English speech competitions, student debates, student leadership training programs, student exchange programs and student academic Olympiads.

Very recently, we developed an instrument for determining the readiness of institutions in undertaking internationalization programs. Most importantly, the AUAP will soon unveil its Quality Assurance Instrument for rating institutions based on self-evaluation. These instruments are for the use of our members and non-members also.

Jagran Lakecity University, Bhop, India is a private university established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and is based out of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal, India is one of the fastest growing and one of the most awarded universities in Central India having practice-based pedagogy at its core. Currently, the university offers 56+ degree programs to more than 2500 students from 8 countries and 27 states of India. The university has 42 partnerships with top industries and international universities ensuring that our students get great exposure nationally and internationally. JLU Bhopal is the only university from Central India to be part of three Erasmus+ projects funded by the European Union Commission. The university is currently the country chair for the Association of Universities of Asia Pacific (AUAP) and a member of the prestigious Association of Commonwealth University (ACU).

Conference Theme

Higher education stands at a critical crossroads, compelled to adapt to rapid societal changes, technological advancements, and the demand for a more holistic approach to education. The traditional emphasis on knowledge acquisition alone is gradually giving way to a broader perspective that recognizes the importance of values in shaping well-rounded individuals who can thrive in an ever-changing world.

The paradigm shift in higher education calls for a renewed focus on values that go beyond academic achievements. While knowledge remains essential, the cultivation of values forms the foundation for holistic growth, character development, and the ability to navigate the complexities of life. It is imperative to equip students with the skills, attitudes, and ethical principles necessary to become responsible global citizens, contributing positively to their communities and the world at large. This Conference is the platform to enhance and update knowledge, share the research findings among the global audience and establish academic collaborations.

Call for papers

We invite submissions under the following categories:

Format of Presentations -
  • Case study8-10 minutes Individual or co-presented presentations.
  • Poster Presentations 8-10 Minutes Individual or co-presented presentations.
  • Paper Presentations 8-10 Minutes  Individual or co-presented presentations.
  • Round table discussions45 minutes Group of colleagues, 3-5 presenters, coming together on a theme, reflecting on, and sharing ideas.
  • Workshops, up to 45 minutes, with a maximum of 10-12 minutes presenting, Interactive session, focusing on participants contributing and engaging with the topic of the session.

17th AUAP General Conference invites full papers pertaining to the conference tracks. Please mention the track number before the title of the submission. There is no restriction on the methodology followed in a submission.
